Hello wonderful people! Thank you all for your comments and for participating in the
Giveaway! I had so much fun reading about your favourite pans and since a lot of you asked about my
tiny collection, I actually went to count them and I can tell you I'm the happy owner of 42 pans! Do you think that's a lot?
I had a friend visiting from Spain and he helped me pick the 2 lucky winners. And they are...

Congratulations girls! Please send me an email and the Cake Lifters will be on your way soon!
And now a couple more things:
Shreya from Mom's Cooking tagged me for a meme. The rule was to pick up the nearest book, open to page 123, find the 5th sentence and post the next three sentences. The nearest book I had was Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice cream & Dessert Book (aren't you surprised that my nearest book was food related?). I opened it on page 123 but there was no text there, it's just the begining of the Drinks's chapter. I wonder why I feel like having a milkshake now?!

Also the sweet Lori (aka
The Recipe Girl) gave me the Arte y Pico award! Thank you so much Lori! I'll pass it to 2 girls that have wondeful blogs : Mandy from
Fresh from the Oven and Alexandra from
Addicted Sweet Tooth!
And now something not food related:

And what do you say about my haircut? I just had it cut this morning and I'm still getting used to it. I've cut 25 cm (10 inches) that I'll be happy to send to
Locks of Love. If you don't know about this wonderful organization please go check it out!
I'll be back with a recipe soon!

Your hair looks absolutely cute with the short cut! I need to do that to mine, it's crazy, lately I always just put it up. Don't like dealing with it in the humidity.
I'll bet that feels strange to go from long to the short cut! I've done that before. I think I actually like my hair better shorter, but really need to be able to put it up in the summer.
42 cake pans--that IS a lot. I guess for a pastry chef, it might not be. I only have about 5!
Where do you store all those cake pans!? :D
I know others who have donated to locks of love, its a great thing your doing. I don't have that much hair anymore, mine has been short for a while now!
Your hair cut looks fabulous! Locks of Love is a great organization. My daughter donated her hair to them a few years ago.
42?! Wow, I'm impressed! You're new short hair do is very cute and I'm sure it's much easier to maintain. That's wonderful that you donated your cut hair to Locks of Love.
Wow, 42?! And the hair looks good
Dear I think your cute is so nice you look so well, and tell me dear why you speak spanish soooo well??? Thanks to stopping by at my blog, xxxGloria
42? I want some more picture! I 'm gonna count mine, I know it's not even 40, but I never count it.
your beautiful long hair?? Oh...no... well, it does look fresh the new cut, good cause never hurts anyway :)
Congrats to the LUCKY girls...of course I'm green, but really happy for Mari & Rachel.
On another note, your new cut looks cool; fabulous!! Must feel really nice & light. Am glad you sent it to Locks of Love!
I'm off to count my tins...Oh & another thing...CONGRATS on the Art de Pico! Well deserved!
Your new hair cut looks beautiful! I donated mine to Locks of Love a couple of years ago and if I ever get it that long again, I'm doing the same. One of my sisters with fast growing hair does it about every 18 months. Congrats to the winners.
I think it's great that you donated to Locks of Love! That's a lot of hair, but your new cut looks FANTASTIC from the back!
Rita, your haircut looks great. And it's probably gonna be easier this way during hot summer. Very nice gesture, I have to tell!
I love your haircut. Perfect for the warm weather too.
Congrats to the winners, get baking!
Cookie - can't wait to see the pics of the rest of your pans.
You're a good soul, my dear. And the award is well deserved.
Congrats on the award! And i am honored to be on the receiving end too!
Your short hair looks great! It's a meaningful thing that you have donated it to the "Lock of Love"!
Ack! I'm a winner!!
<3<3<3
OMG! you cut your hair exactly the same length as mine! Mine was just as long too and I needed a "change". So 2 weeks ago, my stylist cut it (a tad shorter than I wanted) but it'll grow back! You look exactly the same from the back as I do! The "bob" is back! It looks really good on you!
Um. I think I have more pans than you. I've been accumulating since university...and I need help. Is there like a support group for this addiction?
I just got mine chopped off as well. I do it every year and donate my hair. Good for you!
That is a serious amount of pans, girl! And I thought I had a big collection :)

That is the cutest haircut and I am only seeing the back of it. God bless you for doing something so kind and generous.
Your hair looks great! I'd love to chop off my hair but my husband would be quite disappointed!
42 pans is quite impressive! I think that'd take up all my kitchen storage space.
Wow. Radical change, and of course very big-hearted of you to do the dontation. Your new hairdo is very sophisticated looking.
Te ves muuy bien con ese nuevo corte! felicidades!!!!!!
WOW, how cool you donated your hair - you're awesome! You rock.
I don't know about the front of your hair but the back looks gorgeous!
Thanks for hosting a contest.

Love, love, love the hair! My little 4 year old friend just gave 12 inches to locks of love! Isn't it wonderful!
I'm afraid to count my pans! I really don't want to know.
Wow! That is a great cut. I just got mine cut the other day and it doesn't look nearly as nice as yours does.
Congrats to the winners and what a fabulous haircut!

I'll send you an e-mail right now...

Kisses!!!
Love your new haircut! How great of you to donate your beautiful long locks. By the Way I am passing on two awards to you. Check out my site. :)
I cut mine last year for locks of love and now I am growing it again for the nest time! Short hair or medium length is not that bad :) !!
Congrats on the award!! Nope...42 is not a lot :)
Congratulations to the winners!!!
Hey!
Holy crap your hair was long! It looks great!
Love the new look! Your hair is beautiful!
Wow your hair looks great and what a wonderful wonderful thing to do! I love that organization.
Congrats to the winners!
sorry i didn't win :(
glad you donated your hair :) my freshman year in college i cut 13" off... then i grew it out for my wedding in 2005... then i missed my short hair and in january of this year i cut off 10" again :) now i'm growing it out again! ha!
I love your haircut! Sooooo cute.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I wish I had a cake lifter for all of you! Thanks also for your nice comments about my short hair, I'm really happy I did it!
Glad to know that most of you didn't think 42 was a lot of pans, lol!
Congrats to both winners (she says between gritted teeth) *jokes*
I love that you're donating your hair CC. And shorter hair looks really good on you too!
Congrats to the winners! And yes, 42 pans does sound like a lot of pans to me:))) I think I only have about 10:)
What a meaningful cause you donated your hair for!
You have a wonderful blog here!
Something waiting for u in my blog. Check out.
Love the chic hairdo!! Too cute! I wish I could have long hair..I just dont think I could get away with it!
Rita, I'm so glad you took part in Locks of Love. I've been doing it on and off for several years, especially when my sister battled Hodgkin's (I think I took off 10-inches total that time, but was left with a nice shoulder length 'bouncy and flowing' style. Other times, I was butchered, but it didn't matter. :)
However, it's now more than half way down my back again, so I think it's time again, glad your post reminded me! It's such a wonderful feeling to be able to give natutal hair wigs to those losing their hair from the chemo. It's such a devastating thing to witness, considering they have so much battling to do in general.
In any event, your new style looks awesome! But then again, even if it didn't, you did something so wonderful, that's all that matters :)
Weird thing just happened. I logged into my Blogger account, (where I have an empty blog as I was thinking of switching over), with the URL to my WP blog. When I used Name/Url, it didn't link like it usually does, so I decided to log into blogger to ask you to excuse my typos (natutal means natuRal..lol), and the above post was from another blog comment to Lesley, who I posted to last week, showed up in the comment box, and submitted itself! I honestly clicked nothing, SO, maybe that one ought to be deleted! LOL In any event, I wonder why Blogger won't take the WP name and URL anymore? Oh well, no biggie.
Finally, that Oreo 'tiramisu' looks luscious, but I'm not surprised, as everything you make looks luscious superb :)
Oh, my! That is a lot of pans! I only have a couple. Just found your blog today and am putting you in my google reader as i love to cook too.
Wow can't believe how many pans you own! You must have a huge kitchen :D
And I love your new look - the bob is very cute... and sleek!
Infelizmente já não cheguei a tempo de me candidatar a um desses "cake Lifters" :P
Adorei o corte de cabelo e fiquei impressionada com o acto de generosidade. Desconhecia uma organização deste tipo.
